Metthier Unveils METTRIQ: The Smart Facility Management Platform Bridging Public and Private Sectors Toward a Smart Sustainable City

Metthier Co., Ltd. proudly announces the launch of METTRIQ, Thailands first allinone smart facility management platform. METTRIQ is designed to centralize building data to enhance safety, optimize energy efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions. With a strong focus on ESG principles, this platform addresses the needs of both public and private sectors, paving the way for Thailand to become a truly Smart Sustainable City.

Mr. Kayon Tantichatiwat, CEO of Metthier Co., Ltd., emphasized that while the concept of Smart City has been a topic of discussion for years, Thailand’s progress has lagged behind initial expectations due to limitations in infrastructure and the absence of robust data integration. According to the IMD Smart City Index 2024, which ranks 142 cities globally across five key dimensions—Health & Safety, Mobility, Activities, Opportunities, and Governance—Bangkok has seen fluctuating performance. The city dropped from 78th place in 2020 to 88th in 2023 and has only slightly improved to 84th this year, ranking 22nd in Asia. In contrast, Singapore consistently ranks as the 5th globally and 1st in Asia.

The report underscores two critical pillars for Smart City development: City Structure, primarily driven by the public sector, and Technology, led by private innovation. One stark difference between Singapore and Bangkok lies in the Health & Safety dimension. Singaporean residents scored their air pollution and public safety concerns at 64.9 and 80.4, respectively, while Thais rated these

factors at just 32.9 and 50. On the technology front, both countries rated the effectiveness of CCTV in enhancing safety positively, with scores of 80.8 for Singapore and 75.1 for Thailand. However, when it came to online reporting for faster city maintenance, Singapore scored 70.2, while Thailand lagged at 60.2.

Mr. Kayon, highlighted insights from the recent study, emphasizing that issues such as air pollution and public safety can be effectively addressed with technology. “When comparing Southeast Asia, Thailand currently has approximately 65,167 CCTV cameras, whereas Singapore, despite being significantly smaller, operates 109,072 cameras. Singapore’s success lies in the close collaboration between public and private sectors, leveraging CCTV and IoT technology across city infrastructure and buildings. This approach has enhanced response efficiency by over 60%, reduced labor dependency by 15%, and saved up to 40% in reporting time.”

As a leader in smart facility management, Metthier vision is to harness the power of big data from individual buildings and integrate it with AI and IoT to deliver tangible improvements in security and sustainable energy management. This commitment inspired the development of METTRIQ, Thailand’s first all-in-one smart facility management platform. METTRIQ empowers businesses—from small enterprises to large corporations—prioritizing ESG goals to access a cutting-edge, open platform for efficient and sustainable facility management,” said Mr. Kayon.

METTRIQ (Metthier Reformative IQ) is a cutting-edge smart facility management platform powered by AI and IoT technology. It utilizes advanced data analytics and presents information through Digital Twin and 3D Visualization for precise and efficient resource management, paving the way for sustainable building operations in the future. As Thailand’s first all-in-one smart building platform, METTRIQ integrates 12 essential features into a single solution: CCTV System, Automated Access Control, Visitor Management System, Metal Detector Integration, Air Quality Monitoring, Lighting Control System, HVAC System (temperature, humidity, and air circulation management), Fire Alarm System, Escalator & Elevator Control, Air Flow System, Electricity Management System, and Water Management System. In addition, METTRIQ includes an AI-powered assistant that provides recommendations for sustainable energy use aligned with ESG principles, enabling users to operate buildings more efficiently and responsibly.

“If Thailand is to transition into a Smart City in the near future, collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to make it a reality. METTRIQ is a platform we developed to connect the dots and enhance the management of individual buildings. It aims to elevate security standards, improve energy efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions from each building. From one building, we can scale to thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of buildings, ultimately driving broader, transformative change for the country. This will bring Thailand closer to becoming a Smart Sustainable City—one that is highly secure, environmentally friendly, and truly sustainable,” said Mr. Kayon.
