for 2024 with Business Expansion in Eastern and Northern Regions, Penetrating Factory and Hospital Segments
Metthier, Thailand’s first smart facility management service provider, has revealed an upward adjustment of its revenue target for this year to over 1.8 billion baht, marking a growth of more than 30% from the previous target of 1.5 billion baht. This adjustment comes after successfully closing deals with new customers in the industrial and hospital sectors, as well as strategically expanding into new target segments. Most recently, the company has established branch offices in Chonburi and Chiang Mai to deliver superior technology–driven services, meeting the increasing demand for Smart Facility Management in industrial estates and targeted business sectors in the Eastern and Northern regions.
Mr. Kayon Tantichatiwat, CEO of Metthier Co., Ltd., Thailand’s first smart facility management service provider, stated, “the facility management (FM) landscape in Thailand is expected to expand by approximately 8-10%, rebounding from the impact of COVID-19. However, there is a noticeable gap in the market, with growing demand for smart facility management solutions but limited service providers. This has propelled Metthier to rapidly expand its operations. Consequently, Metthier has adjusted its revenue target for the fiscal year 2024 from 1.5 billion baht, projected to grow by 15% from 1.3 billion baht in fiscal year 2023, to 1.8 billion baht, reflecting a growth of over 30%. This adjustment follows the company’s intensive marketing efforts since its official launch last year, coupled with positive feedback received from customers.
“2024 marks the first full fiscal year in which Metthier recognizes revenue, with expectations of a growth of no less than 30% from the previous year’s total revenue (from SAMCO’s existing customer base). This is attributed to the dividends received from the continuous expansion of industries within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), particularly in S-Curve industries, EV automotive, and hospital sectors. Additionally, Metthier has extended its services to the northern region to accommodate the industrial and tourism sector recovery, leading to continuous development of new projects. The overall landscape of the facility management business has expanded significantly,” said Mr. Kayon.
For its operations plan this year, Metthier is preparing to expand its workforce, including security guards and maids, from 6,000 to 10,000 to accommodate business growth. The focus is shifting from traditional security and cleaning businesses towards service integration with technology to enhance safety and improve the quality of life for customers. This includes existing customers, comprising over 300 leading private sector organizations across various industries, and new customer groups. In addition, Metthier has opened two new branch offices in Chonburi and Chiang Mai in early March to extend its services to industrial estate factories and target customers in the Eastern and Northern regions. This expansion complements its existing presence limited to the headquarters in Bangkok.
Mr. Kayon emphasized that although competition in the facility management industry is high, service providers incorporating advanced technology to enhance employee productivity are limited. Market demand for technology to increase efficiency and reduce costs continues to grow, further highlighting Metthier’s strength. With over 6,000 security guards and maids, who are the primary workforce, Metthier enhances service efficiency with various technologies including Metthier Intelligent Operation Center (MIOC), AI CCTV, Digital Twin, 3D Visualization, Digital Mapping, Smart Robotics, and the MettLink platform, connecting security guards and maids in real-time. This has positioned Metthier as a leading player in smart facility management in Thailand, receiving recognition for its process and software quality improvements with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) certification, a globally recognized standard.
The overall real estate management market in Thailand, valued at billions of baht, continues to grow steadily, especially in the real estate and other industries such as office buildings, industrial factories, hospitals, or health centers. The significant challenge remains the shortage of labor in this industry. With such growth rates, real estate management businesses face increasing competition, particularly in leveraging technology to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. There is a noticeable trend towards the adoption and application of various technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, or the Internet of Things (IoT) to address sustainable management and improve people’s quality of life.
